The plight of the orangutans as iconic species has touched the hearts of many over the world. This intelligent creature, sharing 97% of the similar DNA as human, is endemic to Malaysia (only found in Sabah & Sarawak) as well Indonesia, and regarded as highly endangered species due to their habitat destruction, indiscriminate hunting, and animal trade.

Q&A
The Orang Utan Diplomacy programme aims to:
- Raise funds through adoption programme for Orang Utan to further strengthen In-Situ conservation efforts to ensure that the Orang Utan population is more secure and grows naturally at Sungai Pin Conservation Area (SPnCA);
- Extend ownership of the program to palm oil company participation.
The adoption fund supports Orang Utan conservation works, which include:
- Programme on Orang Utan conservationEducational awareness program and establishing ranger / patrol unit to monitor the whereabouts, safety, and condition of the Orang Utan
- Orang Utan habitat enrichment programme within SPnCA (tree planting, Orang Utan bridge, etc)
Adoption Packages
The adoption package are as follows:
Corporate adopter – from RM10,000 per adoption per year
Adopters will receive an exclusive adoption certificate and eligible for tax relief.
