MPOGCF successfully organised its first engagement programme with the media recently which saw ๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ ranging from traditional newspapers to online portals gathering under one roof at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar for ๐ ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐ถ-๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ง๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ.
The programme was aimed at further developing and strengthening the relationship between MPOGCF and the media, with a closer look into the various conservation projects by MPOGCF and their measurable impacts, while allowing for productive dialogue in real time.
๐ ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐ ๐๐ถ-๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ง๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ received strong support from Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC), Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Malaysian Palm Oil Board and Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC) who were all present with representatives from its senior leadership as well as communications team.
During the programme, ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐, ๐ฌ๐๐ฟ๐. ๐๐ป ๐ญ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ต๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ called upon the media to help champion the palm oil industry and spread news of various conservation efforts carried out by MPOGCF, while countering false and inaccurate claims made by irresponsible parties abroad. The message was also reiterated in a speech by ๐ ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐โ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ง๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐, ๐ฌ๐๐ต๐ด. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผโ ๐๐ฟ. ๐ช๐ฎ๐ป ๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ ๐๐ถ๐ป ๐ช๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น.
The programme ended with a special lucky draw session which saw winners bringing home holiday packages and premium hampers as prizes.
